Sport at Grammar is structured so as to support the School’s liberal academic focus and not drive or influence it.
Boys are expected to play a summer and winter sport and to treat their School team obligations as the priority. As a general rule, year-round organised team coaching for one particular sport is not permitted. The School strictly enforces limits on the amount of time allocated to training.
The School has excellent facilities for sport. Most cricket, rugby, football and tennis games are played at Weigall, Grammar’s ground at Rushcutters Bay which is about two kilometres east of College Street. Swimming takes place at Cook and Phillip Park adjacent to the School. The boatshed, with full rowing facilities, is located at Gladesville. At College Street there is a large gymnasium and facilities for basketball, volleyball and fencing.

This Week’s Fixtures
AAGPS Online - Please follow this link for general advance information about the year's fixtures.
Details of Saturday sports fixture are uploaded to the website after the Sports Office has received confirmation of the venue and time for each game from the relevant opposition school. The School will endeavour to upload the Saturday fixture each Tuesday by 4:00pm, but this will not always be possible.
The date and time at the top right hand corner of the fixtures page indicates when the page was last updated. The Sports Office will only update the information if there has been a last minute decision to change the venue or time. Venue and time information will not be changed after 3:00pm Friday. However, cancellations due to the prevailing weather conditions at the venue may occur after this time, and will be marked on the website as soon as possible.
Each Saturday, please check the information on the fixtures page before leaving home. Cancellations of games due to weather conditions will start to appear from 7:15am Saturday morning.

If the ambient temperature reaches 35 degrees Celsius during training, it must be suspended or cancelled. If boys cannot be released they must rest (in shade wherever possible), take fluids and receive any necessary attention.
